Margin level

Equity divided by used margin, times 100%. Brokers use it to trigger margin calls and stop-outs.

Example: equity of $800 and used margin of $400 give a margin level of 200%. As losses grow, equity falls and so does the margin level. Each broker sets its own warning and closing levels, so check yours.
