Risk-reward ratio

The planned loss at your stop compared with the planned gain at your target, for example 1:2.

A stop $10 away and a target $20 away is 1:2. A good ratio does not help if the target is rarely reached, so read it together with the win rate. At 1:2, you break even before costs with a win rate of about 33%.
